Hasn't the Bible been changed and corrupted over time?

The worry that the Bible's message was rewritten over the centuries collides with the evidence of how early the core Gospel was fixed. In 1 Corinthians 15:3-7 Paul says he is passing on what he himself 'received,' a creed about Christ's death, burial, resurrection, and appearances that scholars across the spectrum date to within a few years of the crucifixion, far too early for legendary corruption. Beyond this, the New Testament survives in thousands of Greek manuscripts and early translations, and the wealth of copies actually lets scholars compare and recover the original wording rather than hiding it; the variants that exist touch no doctrine of the faith. Jesus Himself promised that His words would not pass away (Matthew 24:35), and God has providentially preserved the message that saves. The Gospel we read today is the same one the first witnesses proclaimed and died for.
